??Many people assume that being a Christian is merely about becoming an expert rule-follower, but getting free and staying free from sin isn?t the only goal of the Christian life. God wants a loving relationship with each of us so we can be full of joy ? specifically the joy of knowing Him.

?Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent? (John 17:3).

Jesus made this joy-filled relationship possible for us by living, dying, and resurrecting as a human to pay off all our debts for sin (1 Peter 3:18), and anyone who trusts Him will receive eternal life (John 3:16).

May the love of God fill your heart to the point of overflowing during this season of celebrating the birth of our Savior, Lord Jesus the Messiah.
